Yeah, I guess I meant assuming you know how to wear them. But we still don’t know enough about when infected ppl are contagious. Anyway, it’s almost academic now b/c there are no masks.

At this point, the key priority seems to be getting enough gear for the front-line health care workers. What we know from Hubei is very concerning, though I truly hope it's because they were overwhelmed and under-geared. For everyone else, flatten the curve, isolate the elderly.

Strikes me that the shortage of testing capacity is a more fundamental problem than mask supply. If people could readily disambiguate symptoms from the common cold then tested and self-quarantined would not be such active vectors. But the tests in the US have been royally botched
