One reason I love running is that I am bad at it. So bad that nobody can even expect me to be good. Not just *uncompetitive* but *incapable of becoming competitive*. My runs are *audiobook slow*. I will never win a race.
No pressure at all. The perfect tonic to an academic life.

My fallback career is opening gyms/club for people who like activities or pushing themselves but without competing or with no emphasis whatsoever on alleged side benefits (weight-loss etc.) to limit the snake-oil and misinformation.
