Help, can’t travel to non Christmas country due to hand injury, any tips on how to avoid hearing “jingle bell rock”? Or the same 20 songs again and again everywhere. There must be something in the Geneva conventions against this.

I’m nearing check out. I had noise canceling headphones with me but I left them in my bag in the car. When someone writes my obituary put that down as one of my biggest regrets.

I woke up from surgery and asked the docs if I could go back to Hong Kong the next day. They were like sure, if you don’t mind losing function in your hand. I, sigh, decided to do the sane thing. Now I’m thinking it’s my left hand and I’m right handed. No more jingle bell rock!

OK, I am safe and somewhat recovered. In the interest of further recovery, are there people who curate open playlists? Definitely need more music discovery channels. (All my algorithms are in a loop! Not that good for people who listen across genres.)

Headphones and loud heavy metal music. I find that, at this particular time of year, Deicide is especially comforting. Or if you simply want something wintry and seasonal, Agalloth's "Ashes Against the Grain" is my favorite Xmas album.
