On Myanmar, the key criticism is how slow the company was to listen, hear and act—till it was too late and its own role was mostly irrelevant. I don’t at all feel confident they’ve learned though. Still to little, too late when it comes to such brewing issues and it’s structural.

But just this very behavior - where social tech firms justify speech broadcasting at the values and ethics level, when really these got baked in earlier at the technological design level - is not given as much attention and needs to be part of this debate. 2/
