my colleague said something valuable to me today: when i sit down “to write” it takes me at LEAST 30 minutes (usually 45-60) before my brain is ready to write. How do y’all manage that ‘brain prep’ time?

Have you heard "end in the middle of a sentence" advice? The idea is to stop in a spot that you can easily pick up again the next day. I'm an editor so it's a bit different but I do try to end mid-comment. A jump start back into what I was thinking/doing legit saves me time.

Nowadays I find it less tiring to accept many things as they are rather than try to go through an intense effort to somehow fix them which takes effort and time anyway, and leads to frustration anyway.
