my colleague said something valuable to me today: when i sit down “to write” it takes me at LEAST 30 minutes (usually 45-60) before my brain is ready to write. How do y’all manage that ‘brain prep’ time?

IKR? I don't like breakfast. I tried to follow the "eat breakfast" advice. Finally, I give up. I work, exercise, am clear-headed and not hungry till after lunch! Anyway, fast forward, I meet these for real scientists writing bestsellers about benefits "intermittent fasting".

Nowadays I find it less tiring to accept many things as they are rather than try to go through an intense effort to somehow fix them which takes effort and time anyway, and leads to frustration anyway.
