Yep and it's really not a good idea to pick up CS cannisters, not a tactic I'd recommend. You can get some really bad burns off them.

Does the water just serve to capture the particulates as the canister releases the gas? Or is there some chemical reaction? Just curious about the mechanism at play. Clearly it works.
