*Of course* friction + harder access makes it harder to recruit. Also, let's name it: a white nationalist international terrorist organization that's recruiting. It doesn't look like a 20th century org but it does kind of look like ISIS. It's how 21st century terrorists operate.

This will be thornier; ISIS was easier to externalize. This one is homegrown. Entrenched with our politics. But the recruitment process is fairly similar. White supremacy isn't going to be dismantled overnight, but it's possible to disrupt the recruitment of these mass shooters.

There is a big difference between taking the megaphone away, and taking the free speech away. The first is a matter of public order, the second of human rights. Nobody prevented Alex Jones or 8chan from speaking, but their volume got turned down.
