Aargh now Twitter showing me replies to people I don't follow. I can't easily find the way to turn that off. Sigh the business model of all these platforms: they will do more engagement engineering all the way to more crises.

Definitely hear you loud and clear on the desktop redesign. Team is working on addressing the information density & layout feedback. For List bug, mind DMing or replying here w/ more info on what list was lost? Can look into it. Re DM, are you referring to inaccurate badge count?
-
it's less about information density & layout than user experience and interaction which is awkward on desktop with the new design. you could have standardized the codebase without ruining the web client's UX/UI. but now that we have GoodTwitter browser extension everything's fine

Wanted to add to what
@kayvz said. We hear you loud and clear and really sorry about the frustration. I wanted to add some context on your first tweet. We show replies to people outside of who you follow because people find it a super useful way to discover new people and convos. -
Seeing who the people you follow are talking to is something we find people find very useful to find other folks with common interests.

I think you’re referring to when we show a conversation in your timeline that has a reply from somebody you follow to a tweet from somebody you don’t follow? If so, we do this to help people discover new/relevant conversations for them that they’d otherwise miss ...
Standardizing codebase is fine. Desktop is desktop.
