This is a good point. That story was bunkers and there is certainly degrees of gullibility but everyone has some degree of vulnerability to scams. Also, a factor: how determined/capable is your adversary?https://twitter.com/profdaf/status/1154446864562868224 …

The usual things apply. Is it too good to be true? Would it hurt to ask a friend if it all makes sense? Even assuming everything is great, what would be a way to check if it weren't? As anyone who reads case studies knows, humility is protective but overconfidence is a weakness.

Wait, if there's some western union account I can wire money to to get an edit button, sign me up.

The Twitter edit button is beautiful and shiny. I have a crate of them sitting right here, just sitting and waiting to ship! But it's heavy so I'll need some cash up front to send these bad boys to the first lucky 1,000 people whose payment clears

Heh. I'm sure there are things that would get me, but the edit button? Meh, I'm not even a native English speaker. This language has bizarre spelling. Don't care that much. *stops self from listing things that are more likely to get her*
