On a minor note, my web Twitter is now stuck on mobile display (no, I'm not using https://m.twitter.com ). I logged out, turned computer off, etc. No avail. Is it just me? Anyone know how to make sure it uses desktop interface?

I really recommend tweetdeck. No ads, no algorithmic timelines, just twitter as it was years ago. I think tweetdeck is intended for media employees who need a no nonsense interface. Why more people don't use it is a mystery to me. It is desktop only though.

If you use the Tweetdeck app, it too compels you to use the mobile interface. At least when you run it in a web browser, it is possible to delete the "mobile" from the login URL and get back to the regular login - which includes the ability to uncheck the Remember Me option.

Takes awhile to adjust but it is still usable. Learning the keyboard shortcut for new tweet ("n") helps.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

ICYMI Here's a way to restore the old interface. Works fine for me. Not sure if one needs to do this each time, but much easier than using dev toolshttps://twitter.com/RickOnTheStrip/status/1151865676568469505 …
