Nest thermostat and door lock work w/o cloud/WiFi (just used both while

That’s not what I’m talking about, though. Google cloud is a single point of failure for many systems—and some will interact in ways we haven’t anticipated. Some, people don’t even know depend on Google cloud. AWS has similar couplings. Besides people do plan for remote access.
