I hope @ssrcdigital / FB awardees reach out to researchers from African countries (Kenya and Nigeria are very important cases) and maybe @ssrcdigital can extend funding? If we had paid more attention to the global south before 2016, 2016 wouldn't be such a surprise to the US.

Right. I get that! Someone should bring them on and treat them as an equal partner (maybe with official recognition?) just to fix the current issue and in the future, this should be handled pre-award with whatever support is necessary to get to a more reasonable situation. ugh
