This job could be structured at an internship at my university if that works better for you or I can end up paying out-of-pocket (depending on what works best for you). I'm starting bigger writing/research projects and need to get a better handle on my research libraries. :-D

You might look for a book indexer—this kind of conceptual organizing is precisely what they do, and it doesn't matter if they are organizing page numbers or citations. (Most of them are professionals, though, so it would likely be more expensive than an RA/grad student.)
