1/4 We make it clear in our Privacy Policy when and why we share footage: if we are bound by valid subpoena to disclose, and in the event safety, or to protect the kiosks. The footage is stored temporarily & automatically deleted after 7 days.
2/4 In 2017 & 2018, we did not disclose any video footage to law enforcement. See transparency report:https://www.link.nyc/transparency-reports.html …

4/4 In 2017 we updated our policy in response to feedback. You reference an old NYCLU letter but NYCLU made more recent statements supporting changes to the policy. You can view here:https://www.nyclu.org/en/press-releases/city-strengthens-public-wi-fi-privacy-policy-after-nyclu-raises-concerns …
.@LynkNYC, are you using facial recognition on video recordings collected by kiosks?
Is the video data mined in any way?
If so, for what data? And is this metadata retained after the video data is deleted?

Link cameras don’t have facial recognition technology. Please see our Privacy Policy for more info:https://link.nyc/privacy-policy.html …
You may not use facial recognition, but can you categorically state that @LinkNYC is not mining other data?
To whom has @LinkNYC disclosed data "to improve the Service"?
Even if @LinkNYC does not "keep any footage..longer than seven days", how do you know third parties do not?
