I’ve stopped having all weird TL issues since I switched to the “Latest Tweets” setting, once they made that available. when I was on the default “Home” setting I would get all kinds of weird insertions, tho not sure about the particular thing the article is talking about.

out of the last 50 tweets in my timeline here's the breakdown: 22 legit tweets 18 liked by someone I follow but I don't follow 1 followed by someone I follow but I don't follow 2 replied to by someone I follow but I don't follow 7 ads
