This isn't a long-term vs. short-term focus issue. Most of these things are better addressed by whatever approach you prefer to deal with existential questions. Read Irving Yalom or poetry or something. These are barely related to AI and society.

An incredibly interesting list in part because many of those fears are also hopes for some people and fears for others - feels like there are underlying values behind those "hopes/fears" that merit much further exploration.
