The history of this space is littered with small or focused pilot programs that appear to work great but cannot scale up. Coding bootcamps/schools are fine. I object to the idea we can bypass root problems: K-12 failure, defunding of public ed and the shift to a low-wage economy.

No one is advocating defunding higher or public ed. And define scale. How big does a school need to be to be at scale?

Why are you acting like it's their responsibility to fix the entire education system? They are adding "Skin in the game" to college education. And why do you care if it scales or not? It's a private venture.
