I wrote this when French politicians got hacked but it applies to Germany now. Just because something got hacked doesn’t mean journalists have to amplify every bit. Instead, a high bar for newsworthiness should be applied. We are not going to eliminate attempts at misinformation and manipulation. We’re going to learn how to deal with them while simultaneously protecting the public interest and genuine whistleblowing. German politicians and media deserve it. German journalists like Deniz Yücel and others share informations about turkish gov. which hackers had stolen. They call hackers and terrorsupporters "government critics" and "Journalists".
