A topic that just doesn't lend itself to such isolated statistical analyses. That's not how culture or politics operates. Take the 0.1% at face value. Example: What if that led reporters to amplify narratives which colored the whole election? (I think that happened in parts).https://twitter.com/NateSilver538/status/1074848968188796930 …

Absolutely... why I went with “e.g.” not “i.e.” ... however, the flip side is that some of the narrative-shaping power of the propaganda stemmed from it calling attention to actual real issues that the media was otherwise generally ignoring. So it’s quite complicated, of course.

Totally valid, but your statements also hold true for the far greater % of non-Russian trolling, which is a topic being glossed over by most.

Also, being purposely obtuse as
@NateSilver538 is on this ignores the reality of hyper-targeting via social media: That specific accounts & individuals are targeted *because* they have a greater impact on others. It's a key reason specific accounts would have been targeted.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

and often, one tweet may be sufficient to form someone's opinion on a certain matter, however ridiculous it may be. someone (a turkish person) recently wrote me a mention that usa should first investigate its own scandals such as pizzagate.

Related: certain journalists were targeted by 4chan. "Lead unethical reporters on wild goose chases" and "Submit anti hillary story leads to helpareporter [dot] com" - /pol/ https://twitter.com/3r1ng/status/1046853921292132352 … imo journalists are always targeted, they’re gatekeepers to larger platforms.
