Also I did write the outlines I had in NYT and Wired—including the key problem: our public sphere is now both mass and private in that it’s submerged in opaque platforms: Facebook, YouTube. That is a novel historical combination. Takes time to uncover problems and respond.

Need to note how much of media missed a lot, too. Most of what happened happened pretty publicly. You had a lot of traditional media reporters falling for social media manipulation.
