Much better than SMS, but if you are a high-value target, it can be phished. A Yubikey costs lests than $20; can be used in many services (Gmail, Facebook, etc.) and works fine! Can't be phished AT ALL.

What are your thoughts on dedicated authenticator apps?
-
1. I lost all codes when my toddler accidentally wiped my phone. 2. Code is not secure in case of real time attack. All the attacker’s needs to do is to add a screen to the phishing site that asks for it, and use it real time.

Could you add it to power bricks? That's a friction piece people are constantly forced to deal with already.

Good idea. Of course the rigging of democratic process by big money is a vastly more dangerous threat than hacking but that’s another one of those inconvenient truths. Fortunately there’s a remedy for that too: support candidates who refuse corporate funding first foremost.

Do you know of any non-profit that is doing this? It seems like something that an existing well trusted group like
@EFF or@CenDemTech would be great at.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Are the tokens hand delivered by IT? Are computers going to be made with a coin slot for the tokens? Will there be a portable USB adapter for laptops? Will they be redeemable anywhere else?

Absolutely. Physical tokens can't be avoided. I am surprised many using SMS OTP (incl banks). A biometric token like
@ThinC_USB is far better than password dependent tokens.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
