You can't simply counter lies with truth. We know that lies have lasting harmful effects and that belief in lies persist and even withstand attempts at correction.

The solution to somebody shouting bad things is not to shout good things louder. The only real solution IMO is to educate people so that they recognize a bad thing (fallacious reasoning) when they hear it.
