Cringy seeing the media try to turn Musk's sub idea into a parable criticizing Silicon Valley improvisation culture. The rescue succeeded *because* the team rapidly iterated their way to a solution to a novel problem, taking huge risks. They deserve every bit of credit for that.

I read that, prior to Musk deleting the tweets (which I agree were uncalled for - I said elsewhere I think he needs to get counseling) You would have made a much better point if you'd stuck to those points rather than fashionable criticisms of SV.

Screenshot format. A high-profile rescue is as much about managing the officials and everyone who was (unworkable) ideas as the rescue. Indeed, quiet is good. But why was this so noisy? Frankly because of the media whipping up controversy more than anything. Musk's tweets *were* reasonable and took care to not give himself credit. Media presented it very differently and created a shit storm of controversy.
