We underwent a transition, and trad. media hasn't caught up with its own role in not understanding this. Facebook and Twitter have—deservedly—got beaten up a lot and they at least don't just blatantly defend their own conduct anymore. Media hasn't had the scrutiny it deserves.

This feels a bit like the Iraq war arguments. One could oppose that war as a bad idea while having no illusions about Saddam Hussein. One can defend whistleblowing while understanding hack/mass release one-side right before an election is political sabotage, not whistleblowing.

Similarly, one can believe that countries like US/UK should focus more on fixing what ails them and less on Russian meddling—without having to deny what is so clearly evident about their meddling, even before this. Fix your own vulnerabilities is right, doesn't require denial.

Nope. The truth is the truth, no matter its source or how obtained. And the truth is that the DNC rigged the election in a far more direct way than any Russian or Wikileaks can ever be said to have.
