At one time BRK was my largest holding. With no trading in several stocks notably V, MA, FAANG, MKTX it is now merely one of many. With look through positions in cash and AAPL approaching close to 40% I wonder what’s next

These days Google hired a DHS staffer who worked on the Muslim travel ban. Apple is doing photo ops with the President. And Zuckerberg is having secret dinners at the White House. A lot changes in 3 years.

We're all having a laugh about how unbelievably stupid the President is, but I wish just for a moment the Trump voters in those states would take a moment to think about the reality that he has no idea where they live and couldn't care less if they fell off the edge of the earth.

The fact that I was a Brexit expert the day before and MidEast yesterday seems according to Twitter to disqualify me from being a biomedical expert today.

"According to the 2017 Hendrik Bessembinder study of approximately 26,000 stocks in the CRSP database, only 4% of the stocks generated all of the stock market's return in excess of one-month T-Bills during the last 90 years."

People are tempted to speak only about the features of their product. Don’t leave out an important pitching factor when you do so. Think of Steve Jobs introducing the iPod Nano. He didn't tell us it had 16GB of memory. He said: "Imagine a thousand songs in your pocket."

Just read the piece on the coronavirus. My PhD is in Mol. Bio. No doubt this is an engineered bioweapon and not natural. Statistically improbably to have 4 segments that map to a completely different virus (HIV) with 100% conservation.

The Golden Gate Stem Fair is the Bay Area's regional high school science fair. It touches the lives of thousands of local kids and is at risk this year (again) of not happening due to lack of funds. Can we raise $15k to save it? (retweets appreciated!)

This quote really struck a cord with me - really makes you think in today's day and age: "China steals IP from other nations to enrich future generations. America steals from future generations to (further) enrich today’s wealthy. Who are the bad guys?" -

I finished a major in accounting during my university years. When looking at company reports and financial projections I always ask other investors — how could you just blindly trust all these numbers?
