Zena, only fools compare FGM to circumcision. I am against both, but you can't compare them. Islam condones & encourages FGM, and not just circumcision, but the castration of male slaves--and it condones & encourages slavery, even for today.

In most parts it's called female circumcision not FGM. And castration means taking away the ability to reproduce, which is not what female circumcision does. In fact the practice is very similar to labiaplasties which are legal in the West.

Only dogs do this to women.

Yep, what human being would take a razor blade and mutilate their child? That is the work of subhumans. So what is it with you? Were you castrated? If so, I am sorry that happened but I will not defend anyone who does that to an innocent child. I hate them with perfect hatred.

Female circumcision is not castration. Stop being so melodramatic. Generally it only removes the labia and the clitoris. Very similar surgeries happen in the West, they're called labiaplasties. In fact female circumcision is less invasive than male circumcision.

You should first stop being a hypocrite and ban male circumcision and labiaplasties before telling other women what they can and can't do with their own genitals.
