I’m sooo sorry my features make you feel this way. 
I will admit. I have been terrified to have children for fear of passing on my family's Asian features. I am proud to be Korean but I never want to put a child through the racism my family went through. Even as a child, I decided to never have children because of this.

It isn't your features that make me feel this way. I always thought you were beautiful. I love our family. It was only when I got older I realized other people don't see us the same way.

Thank you. But I think it runs deeper than that. After seeing what I've seen, the amount of guilt I'd feel for putting another human being through that is something I would never be able to forgive myself for.

I feel a great amount of shame too...although it's internalized. More so knowing I can pass for White. This is why we must work harder to change things.
