FYI I am promulgating a proposal to add “sensitive” fields to protocol buffers. Sensitive fields will be redacted from the default stringified protobuf. Comments and suggestions welcome.

Hands up if you've been staying away from Kubernetes-everything until it settles down a bit? I'm embarrassingly ignorant… :-/

Hey … “In other words, while you’re using Onavo, Facebook collects everything you do on the Internet” That's a bit overblown, surely? With https, they can see the IP and possibly server name, but no data.

Honestly, all I really want is for the “Override system volume” to also allow me to specify a volume. It's *way* too loud, but I dare not leave that setting off, in case I accidentally mute my phone.

Hey , Rings Extended does nothing for me on Android. It changed my dialog for setting phone ringtones, but from within PagerDuty, the standard chooser still comes up when I click "System Sounds". How to set a custom sound?

Every now and then I wonder about removing the custom-css chrome extension that can undoubtedly see all my data on every site, and then I visit 's twitter page and see that damn pinned tweet again…

“A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.” The list of grievances in the Declaration of Independence is startlingly applicable to our president and (even moreso) our currently-ruling party.

Every now and then there's a story about how open plan offices are actually bad, and — SURPRISE! — it's actually really just because they're cheaper! Is there anyone who didn't think open plan offices are a thing because they're cheaper? Really?

Good lord these Google Location History stories. When you turn off the feature Google calls “Location History” — which allows you to track your past location on a map — it turns off that feature. It doesn't turn off annotating location metadata onto other things.
