Grateful for people who address the needs of their employees. You see, doctors, counselors & mental health advocates can only do so much.We can only bring awareness & assistance when asked. The biggest influence & support around you is your community - family, friends, workplace.

Today, I had 10 excuses not to work out.
I just needed 1 to convince me into it.
Me time. 😂
Just the quiet of my mind, no distractions, no demands. And then went home to cook lunch for my family.😂 That's how a mom rolls.

Join me on @gingerarboleda 's GTV as we talk about managing anxiety. It has been extra challenging for moms especially working moms. Worrying about your family's health and their needs 24/7 has left us all frazzled.

Yesterday was #WorldMentalHealthDay and for my #MentalHealth I rested. But I just wanted to send out a quick reminder because the massive changes have pushed people into dark places.
Be kind, understanding and continue to help others.Even strangers. You could be saving their life.

It's okay to rest and fight another day. There will always be an opportunity to pick up where you left off after you have rested. The world always has opportunities for everyone including you. Just have faith.

There are so many angry posts on Facebook that there are days when I just want to comment "Who hurt you?!" in all of them. Too much hate and anger is draining.

This morning, we had a "Let's Talk" learning session. This is based on the WHO Let's Talk campaign. The learning session discusses mental health, common disorders, challenges, misconceptions and support available for Filipinos.
It was technically challenging this morning.

Session with Longos Elementary School. Their concern for their students and the pains their students are going through hurts more than the challenges of blended learning. Teaching them self support anxiety management strategies.

I realized I've done mental wellness talks for companies based in the US, Canada, Berlin, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore. I was today years old when I realized that I should be damn proud of myself.😁 Allow me to flex. I'm just a tiny Filipina who just kept saying "I think I can."

There are days when I'm a pretty good cook and have healthy meals.
There are also days when I ask myself
"WHAT EES DEES BAZZURRA I'M FEEDING MY FAMILY?!😳
And it's okay.😊

When it rains, soaked bird waits it out. He's not stranded, just waiting it out till he gets to fly again.
When overwhelmed, rest and wait it out. You will fly again soon.

Thankful for the week that has passed. We're safe, secure and healthy. Let's continue to pray for those who are not as lucky. We're all connected in this world and the only way out of this hole is if we work together to get out of it.

I would love to hear the origin story of the mad scientist who wanted to eliminate the human race through COVID-19.
Who hurt you?! 😳
When someone wants to open up and talk about how they feel, listening can be a challenge.Oftentimes, we want to give advice, fix it & talk too much when all we need to do is listen.
A person who listens without judgement & with an open heart is worth a thousand words of advise.

As someone who does community development in the past, I've seen it myself. No amount of money can heal a traumatized people. No amount. So if you have suggestions or help to think of how I can reach the barangay level, feel free to help or suggest. facebook.com/TheWellnestPH

In many impoverished communities. No social development program will work if the minds of the people aren't prepared. We've seen it many, many times. Intergenerational poverty does that. That's always been my end goal.
I don't know how. I just know that if people in this country is in a better state of wellbeing, they will have more clarity to take care and love it. We're a country of traumatized people who act accordingly and it's not doing us any good.

There are moments, feelings, values you want to keep for after this quarantine. Close your eyes and keep those in your mind. Take a picture and remember them always. Value them, honor them and always know these are what makes you happy.
Then wish. Wish for more of these

We live many lives, even in one lifetime. Each as strong and as the other. A new one lit up by the embers of past lives. As we keep going, we learn, affect and ignite lives of others. Burn bright.
