About 99% of the people who were involved in Python's leadership knew about Steve Holden's abuses of members--including myself--and his racism and sexism. If you see anyone from Python or Django supporting any anti-racism or anti-fascism there's a good chance they're lying.

In my case, Steve Holden got incredibly drunk at a conference function in Poland, then harassed me in front of Lynn Root, yelled at me, repeatedly smacked my shoulders, and wouldn't go away until I threatened him. He's also admitted to this: http://holdenweb.blogspot.com/2012/12/im-sorry.html …

Multiple women--including Lynn Root--told me that he has touched them without permission. At the time that Steve Holden wrote this he had just helped create the PSF and DSF's Code of Conduct, then proceeded to walk around the conference asking women to touch his "one eyed snake"

Nick Coghlan (current Python project lead), a self-professed feminist, actually knew about this behavior for weeks before Steve was found out and never did anything about it. Nick has also harassed me over repeatedly. Jesse Noller was PSF president at the time of this incident.

Jesse Noller actually knew about Steve's behavior at the conference, and not only did *not* throw Steve out, but actively helped Steve hunt down a whistleblower to beg the whistleblower to take down comments on HN that outed Steve. Jesse spent years protecting Steve.

When I told everyone that Steve Holden at assaulted me at the conference--and I'm not only one to make this complaint about Steve--Jacob Kaplan Moss threatened me by email me and telling me to "not cause drama". I was forced to not file an official report for fear of retribution.

Ola Sitarska--who ran the conference at the time--refused to do anything about it, and played games with me "not filing an official report", then allowing Steve Holden to continue to speak at the conference on diversity. In fact, Steve repeatedly spoke about diversity.
