I'm moving house over the next 10 days. We live in a really noisy environment (I miss Japan), with constructions next door, which prevents me from recording videos most of the time, delaying our projects. It's also been tiresome. The new apartment seems way more calm.
Get this microphone: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CM311A--crown-cm-311a-headworn-microphone?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organicpla … I have loud construction directly attached to my building and it cancels out everything. I’ve recorded videos outside near highways and it picked up almost nothing. Bug me for more tips on recording gear.

But thanks!

Alright but I’m telling you, it is the best at home voice over mic there is. It sounds like your best mic you got but with zero noise. If you run into the problem again get it.

What it is: It’s headworn so you get consistency of volume and tone. It’s noise cancellation is unmatched b/c it is two mics sandwiched back2back, so the mic facing away from you automatically cancela out anything that’s not your voice. It’s used by drummers who sing so it works

And if you balk at the price, just think how construction noise is delaying your content forcing you to move and what that costs you. I have two they’re so useful.

That's not so much the mic, I've got good equipment, more the stress of constant noise. And it's not just the construction. Anyway we're moving to a calmer place

I tried to find it in Germany, and apparently you can't sell it here because it contains lead, so be careful with it :) But listening to you does make me want to have one... :D

Lead? I gotta see this MSDS sheet. Like if it’s in the plastic box then that’s stupid. If it’s in the mic I put on my mouth...yikes...but also no way. Nobody would do that. Would they?
