Nope. It’s a cardboard box setup I half discovered half invented. It’s the easiest way to get perfect chiaroscuro lighting. I do use photos if the subject dies or if after it dries i want to fix something I missed, but otherwise it’s for document purposes.pic.twitter.com/jThpFes4vj
Wow it’s so clear it looks like a photo. Really nice set up. It makes sense that it’s live because you mentioned the fruit going bad a few tweets ago. 
In a way it calls into question the advice that you shouldn't use a photo to paint from. I can setup this box and put my panel right next to it and it's *very* close to a photo. In fact I could probably paste a nice print of the photo there and nobody would know.
