Why is it that it takes days to transfer cash between 2 banks in the US and just hours in Europe?
Read an article on how Transferwise solves it. Apparently it doesn’t take that long actually.

Funny you mention it, I'm using Transferwise for that particular wire :) But I suspect it's the incoming back that’s taking time here.

100%, I have seen transfers coming in within 10-12 hours but sometimes 2-5 days. When in Transferwise it takes no more than 5 seconds to wire to my bank.
