Still ISO a great, substantial TIE DYE sweatsuit under $200 for both top & bottom. Subtle, watercolor-y tie dye colors. Sweatshirt not hoodie.

Hmmmm you could make one pretty easy, the only thing is getting the “watercolor style” colors right. You’d probably need to do a few test strips to get the right dye/water ratio, and you’d need to mix colors to get the chroma down. I think then wash it a ton to fade it.

I have been wanting to try ice dyeing with some more tonal colors: https://honestlywtf.com/diy/diy-ice-dyeing/ … It looks messy though

Yes that looks really cool. I’d say go with less spots of color and mix two compliments to tone them down some and you can get this. There’s also “pouring”, but you’d need a way to resist the die on the clothes.https://youtu.be/ERXi5cwZK3M

The idea with pouring is you down something like rubber cement (aka a “resist”) on the parts you want white. Then you pour random colors and let it dry. After you take the rubber cement off it’s left white with colors all around.
