Some of the most upsetting tweets I get to see are people who 100% gave up on Windows a decade ago because of Python. Much like 100% giving up on Linux because of AAA games. Don't judge a platform by the things that weren't designed for it.

The correct way to handle this is instead of begging me to do Microsoft’s job for them and go through your bureaucratic process you take what I wrote and write it up yourself instead of begging me for free work.

That's kind of you to allow that. Many projects get very upset if you create an alternate version of their stuff for people to use. If you're happy to only have Linux users, that's fine by me. They're the ones complaining to you, or asking for things.

Most applications (not libraries) installed on windows are not added to PATH. The shell search path and the spawnprocess search path are distinct. Whether this is a good thing or not can be debated, but zooba's statement was factually correct.
