Whilst y'all on the topic. Good USB-C dock for Linux (and Dell)? The Dell one is no good and the Lenovo one is no good. Speaking of which anyone want a Dell or Lenovo Thunderbolt dock?

Dude the Dell dock is a damn fire hazard. That thing cooks the computer for seemingly no reason. I haven’t found a good replacement yet.

It flat out doesn't work for me. The WD19TB anyway. Only one monitor. I've used the smaller Dell one (TB16?) and that worked. Really annoyed. This one doesn't get hot, just does fuck all.

I have the Dell WD15 and TB16 and both started really bad. With upgraded firmwares they moved to just bad. They are okay I guess but indeed cannot really be trusted.

It was the WD15 that worked for me. I might buy that, I want more than one monitor.

I am using it right now with Ubuntu 19.10 on a XPS15 (9570) and I'd say it's okay, it works but then again I don't ask too much of it. I also always make sure to update the firmwares. Dell always release crappy firmwares at first...

I may try it again to update the firmware, but part of the entire point for me was to move a lot of my wires going into my sound studio to just 1 wire going to the dock. Tried it and it was like a blazing comet in my studio.
