LOVE JORDSKOT! Next watch Angleby: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt3543634/ … Same idea but funnier in a very dark humor way. Stick with it ‘cause it’s a show where you think it’s a quirky comedy at first.

Then watch Ragnarok: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt9251798/ … Norwegian but in the same vein. Only thing is they play that song from Versaille way more than they should. But a decent take on if a teenager was Thor and the giants were real and were evil capitalists destroying the environment.

Then Border is a brutal movie but doesn’t seem like it: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt5501104/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 … It’s excellent but there’s one choice the writer made that pissed me the fuck off. You’ll see. It’s very disturbing but also not shown which makes it more disturbing.

Then Trollhunter: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1740707/ … Do yourself a favor and when they bring the troll in for an autopsy fast forward through what the doctor says and pretend they don’t know why Trolls exist. They ruined the movie with that one scene.

Finally, jump over to Korea and watch Kingdom on Netflix. I really don’t like Zombie shows after TWD mostly ruined them, but Kingdom has an innovative setting, beautiful costumes, great writing, and an original twist on Zombies that totally works.https://www.netflix.com/title/80180171

i don’t like stuff that is very gory or brutal, the jordskott stuff is “out there” enough that it doesn’t seem real so doesn’t bother me tho. i can distance myself from it aside from zombies, does that change any of the recommendations?

Border is super weird. It’s like “Let The Right One In” where you know there’s brutality and violence but you don’t see it. In a way it’s a touching love story between two outcasts bit one turns out to be very evil but you also feel sorry for them.

Girl from Nowhere is a Thai show that’s really original and weird. It’s about a mysterious girl (The Devil’s Daughter) shows up at highschools to tempt people to do bad things. Very Edgar Allen Poe feeling to it, and the girl is extremely well written.https://www.netflix.com/title/80241947
