I think part of my problem with politics today--both the left and right--is the idea that death is an acceptable punishment for every offense. There is nothing that would excuse this if it were true. Not a single thing that's been done means anyone deserved to die.

I couldn't agree more. But I do understand from their point of view why they might do it. I don't agree, but I understand.

That might be a reason someone uses to explain it away, but the real reason is sociopathy and a geopolitical desire for control and dominance. Letting people say they wiped out 1% of the world because of "China Virus" tweets is allowing authoritarianism.

Very insightful. We currently have a geopolitical trend of authoritarianism and in many cases fascism. This would certainly be an example.
