SELF-PORTRAIT! Grab a pencil or pen--I like ballpoints--some paper, and a mirror. Try just drawing your face, clothing, anything. It's surprisingly therapeutic.

Get you a sketch book. Do it every day. Maybe get into gouache or watercolor when you get better at drawing. Keep it to yourself. No artist shows off their sketchbooks.

Doing a self portrait everyday is how I got a lot better at drawing. Other subjects to try: Still life Interior of a room Your hands Landscape Figure Cloth (drapes, sheets) In SF there’s a TON of figure drawing sessions. Bother me when you want to try going to one.
