I was actually just saying last night I think I might just do still lifes exclusively for like 6 months because I don't get hung up on the same stuff. Like... I think it would help my non-still lifes too - and I generally like all of the still lifes I do more.
That's why I do them. I would say avoid flowers for a while. They're very difficult because you mostly have to do them in pure color. Do fruits, bottles, toys, dolls, random junk, etc.
