Yeah, and I say numbers above 10% world wide infection are bullshit. These same people didn't run around claiming these numbers for Ebola and Ebola has 25x the infection rate and 25-90% fatality rate.
otoh ebola was never global the way corona is. and the response to ebola was sweeping and immediate whereas Corona is already being mishandled tremendously in the US alone.

The severe symptoms and high fatality rate are exactly why Ebola didn't reach high worldwide infection levels. It would have been an entirely different story had there been a ~2 week asymptomatic contiagious period before it suddenly kills you.
