Welp, looks like the Coronavirus has completely killed my trip to Asia. All plans were canceled, flights going to be canceled, all I'll have left is 6 days in Amsterdam, and even that might get canceled. I'm fine with it but too many people involved are in panic mode.

Which brings me to a criticism of how this is being handled. The virus is only deadly in people who are imunocompromised and/or over 80. Even people over 60 have super low chances of dying, but we read things like this: https://thehill.com/changing-america/well-being/prevention-cures/482794-officials-say-the-cdc-is-preparing-for … andhttps://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/28/coronavirus-odds-of-a-pandemic-doubled-to-40percent-moodys-analytics-says.html …

Estimates by one epidemiologist are that 40-70% of the people in the *world* will get it, but I call complete bullshit. They had the same kind of thing about SARS and it wasn't even close. Meanwhile, Ebola really was an insanely deadly disease and these same people were silent.

SARS didn’t really get out of Asia though. COVID-19 is all over the place now.

SARS totally got out of Asia and was all over, and they had it in Canada and everyone there thought they were all going to die with all the same doomsday freaks and nope, didn't happen. Not even close.
