I have been trying to book a flight to Bangkok again, and Coronavirus has totally screwed it up. I’ve had to cancel flights and reroute through Europe and Russia—not to avoid Coronavirus—but b/c the damn airlines might go bankrupt/stop flying/or I get quarantined in Thailand.
News out of Thailand is they’re testing everyone out of China, Japan, Singapore and a few other countries, then doing 14 day quarantines. If that happens I’d be screwed as I need to connect to India for a conference 1 week later.
Original flights were going Taipei, Osaka, Xiamen all of which are now getting blocked or inspected world wide. Knowing my luck I’d travel through and get stuck because of quarantine or an airline going bankrupt and stop running. It’s a real mess.
Been flying Thailand <-> Malaysia every week for the past 3 weeks. Protocol is, they take your temperature before you clean security/immigration. As long as you're not spiking a fever they'll let you board.
