I finally managed to get nice big heavy strings 12-52mm on my G&L Doheny V12 guitar. It has a wound G, and I have to tune 1/2 step flat, and it took me 3 hours to balance the saddle height, tremolo tension, and neck truss rod. Works now but what a pain in the ass.
Next step is you building a new one:https://www.warmoth.com/Pages/ClassicShowcase.aspx?Body=2&Shape=9&Path=VIP …

Reckon abandon it? Was going to sand back and paint but need to do something with the bridge & don't want to buy a new one. Warmoth parts look cool, love the sunburst tele shapepic.twitter.com/0KYu4Jvi9J

mmmm, I mean if you *really* love it and want to just get rid of the tremolo then you're going to have to strip it, build a wood block to fill it all in, and then put the one you want on. It'll be a project for sure. Building a whole new one might be easier.
