That's a cool concept, but he fucked up a few fundamental things: 1. He put the bridge on the split wood rather than solid wood, which will totally deaden the vibration at the bridge. You can do almost anything *except* deaden vibration at either end of the string.
2. Why the absolute fuck did he glue on the fretboard and frets *before* he finished the body? Nobody does that on a set neck guitar because you can damage the fretboard. See how he has to put tinfoil over it when he's pouring hot water on the body? That's why you don't do it.

3. After all that he end up having to shape the frets by hand (usually people use a Plek http://www.plek.com/en_US/home/ ) I couldn't figure out why then I realized: the body probably isn't strong enough to go in a Plek. You can see some issues with his fets because of this:

4. Because he put the fretboard and frets on first thing, then shapes them by hand at the end, you can see where he has to flatten the fuck out of the frets and try to pound them back in. I suspect he got the fretboard radius wrong for the frets so had to invent one in the frets
