I read the leaked emails and Stallman did neither of those things. He was simply being the pedantic tactless person he's always been.
Well what he said was pretty vile, but knowing he’s definitely autistic makes me think he was way out of his depth in a situation he didn’t understand at all. Also given he’s definitely a fragile individual this could be a death sentence and I’m against corporal punishment.
