Richard Stallman is homeless: https://stallman.org/seeking-housing.html … If anyone trustworthy in the Boston area has a place where he can stay then email rms at http://gnu.org . Additionally it might be good to find out how this happened and setup a support system to prevent it.

He stayed with some faculty when he came to visit here years ago. Let’s just say that from the rumours I was privy to, you don’t want Stallman living with you

It’s super bizarre how people hop on twitter to open their bleeding hearts about mental health and empathy, and then when an old nerd on the spectrum needs a place to live suddenly he’s treated with zero empathy.

My empathy for him dried up after the recent Epstein/Minsky memo that he penned.

Where’s your tweet about the Clintons then? They were both on the Lolita express, took money from Epstein, and went to his island. I’m fine with standards of behavior but if they only apply to nerds then that’s abusive. They should apply to everyone equally.pic.twitter.com/aZOKeC6Uyj

Despicable, but in all fairness the context was Stallman. His laissez-faire attitude towards the magnitude of what happened,he could have apologized but instead he resigned. I do regret my offhanded comment about him being difficult to live with, obviously I don’t know first hand.

I mostly ignore him because he’s on the spectrum and has mental health issues so most of what he says is uninformed and I disagree with it. Still don’t think he should be homeless. Nobody should be, and if you think he deserves it then you are getting pleasure from suffering.

No I don’t think that, I never said that, and I didn’t realize he was broke to the point of being a homeless person.

That’s good. Like I said, I don’t really like the man but if he’s homeless then that’s not right. Especially when it seems a bunch of people actually get pleasure out of his misfortune.
