Been sorting how to do video production on the road. Davinci Resolve is awful ay h264 encoding but blazes using Grass Valley HQX. It’s actually quicker to do ffmpeg w/ h264_nvenc for h264 after HQX. I’m getting the Pike Place video up but warning: color and focus suckw.

You can use NVENC straight from Resolve if you have the Studio version!

It doesn’t have the same optimization options ffmpeg has and takes about 20x the render time. I can do HQX plus a 3 pass h264 in about 1/2 or 1/4 the time.

Hmm that’s not right. It should be same speed as ffmpeg. You have the Studio version of Resolve right? Remember to choose NVIDIA in the deliver page when encoding h264.

Yes, bought and paid for. h264 in Resolve doesn't have nearly the same tuning options, and turning on their h264 encoding is a slows render time by 20x compared to HQX.
