I’ve long believes that the majority of journalists hate “techies” because they blame technology for wiping out print and electing Trump. You can see this by the punishments journalists demand for offenses in similar industries.

Once Epstein’s ties to tech were known we started seeing tons of articles screaming for the destruction of tech and how horrible tech is for taking his money. That’s true, BUT, in a just society punishment is blind and appropriate to the crime.
If the punishment for a technologist or scientist taking money from a wealthy sex offender is total destruction, what’s the proportionate punishment for the Sacklers poisoning the entire world murdering hundreds of thousands of people and condemning more to endless suffering?
Oh you know just they get to keep existing as a company and have to pay up a small percentage of their wealth and oh yeah any museum the took money from the Sacklers was just trying to keep art alive and had “no idea” how terrible they wete oh my you can’t blame those artists.
That’s how you know journalists hate nerds. Tech company does something bad and it’s demands for total destruction and proof that all of tech is morally bankrupt (unlike Fox News) but Pharma, Banking, Oil, Coal, Cars, Media, do worse and “well you know maybe a fine or some such”.
